Remembering Jarrell. On May 27th, 1997, the Jarrell Tornado wiped homes off the map. It took lives and left others forever changed. Here is the story I did on the 20th anniversary back in 2017. To this day, there has not been another top-of-the-scale F5 (now EF5) tornado in the state of Texas.
