125 years of City Square! 🤩 Work first began in 1897, and in September 1903 an opening ceremony was held alongside the unveiling of new statues, including The Black Prince. Lots has changed over time - from the trams which ran through the square until November 1959, to the air raid shelters installed during World War 2. The square is due to undergo an environmentally-friendly redevelopment this year, which includes it being pedestrianised and introduces an all-new public events space! 🌳 Pictur
