Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900) was an American artist connected to the Hudson River School, a group of artists who loved to capture the natural beauty in the United States. Church combined a romantic point of view with great attention to detail in his works. But Church looked further than his own country, making trips to Ecuador, Europe, and the Middle East, providing him with plenty of inspiration for the rest of his life.
