This is it… it’s shearing weekend! Giving our rescued alpacas and sheep spring haircuts is SO important for their health, even though as a vegan sanctuary we don’t use the fiber for human benefit. There are so many reasons why this is necessary, but the two most important are that they could easily overheat in summer under so much fiber, and that we can’t see their bodies under the fluff so it’s crucial as a health marker.
