Mar 1, 2024 · Dogecoin client wallet: This is the more secure option but it's a lot slower as you'll need to wait for the network to sync before you can make any transactions. This is also the case if you've just recovered your dogecoin core wallet and don't want to make a new one, it will still need to sync the blockchain in order to send doge anywhere.

P. S. Since Dogecoin uses POW, there's some hurdles to overcome as well, such as energy consumption. There's also no rewards for running a node, and that should probably be addressed by taking a small portion of transactions or somehow funding Node support. I would run a node but I'm not financially well off enough to justify it for free.

Now using the unmineable deal outlined in this thread. Still mining eth but payout in dogecoin seems every 10 minutes or so. With da price at 55 cents!! , think I am earning less dogecoin each day vs folks who were mining when price 1/2 of that. So that is not as fun, less coins, when watching the counter. But still better than using easyminer.

Dec 2, 2021 · It's wallet software that also supports Dogecoin, and can be used offline making it more secure. In the top menu, select 'Help' → 'Settings'. In the Settings page, change the Network from Bitcoin (mainnet) to Dogecoin (mainnet), and click on 'Submit' to save the changes. The wallet software is now set to use Dogecoin.
