The Washington Commanders are making moves at the kicker position by swapping Zane Gonzalez out for Matt Gay. On Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reported that Washington is signing Gay to a one-year contract and releasing Gonzalez.

The Washington Commanders agreed to a record one-year, fully guaranteed contract with kicker Matt Gay, his agency announced Tuesday. A league source told UPI that the Commanders plan to release kicker Zane Gonzalez.

The Washington Commanders have signed veteran kicker Matt Gay and released Zane Gonzalez. Gay spent the past two NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
