Cecilie Fløe scored in extra time to lead the Tampa Bay Sun to a 1-0 win to capture the first USL Women’s Super League title.

After 90 scoreless minutes in the inaugural league championship, the breakthrough finally came for the Sun in added time. Cecilie Fløe Nielsen brought home the winning goal off an assist from Nasello in the 100th minute, lifting the Sun to a 1–0 win over Fort Lauderdale United and bringing yet another trophy home to “Champa Bay.”

Women’s Super League clubs have voted to expand the top-flight from 12 to 14 teams from the 2026/27 season. The top two teams will be promoted from WSL 2 next season, while a play-off will be contested between the third-placed team and the side that finishes bottom in the WSL to make up the 14 clubs.
