A second person has been charged with arson in the wildfire in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens. Prosecutors said Friday that a 17-year-old was arrested and charged with arson, aggravated arson and hindering apprehension.

A 17-year-old is in custody and has been criminally charged after authorities said he was partially responsible for the massive Jones Road Wildfire that has burned thousands of acres in Lacey and Ocean townships in New Jersey.

Joseph Kling, 19, was charged with arson and aggravated arson in connection with the wildfire that started in Waretown (Ocean County’s Ocean Township) on Tuesday, according to law enforcement and state officials.
