A man was arrested on charges of arson for connections to two fires set in the Memorial Park area Wednesday. Investigations are ongoing.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a string of fires reported in and around Houston's Memorial Park in recent months.

Dustin Schlain is accused of igniting combustibles inside of the park at 4501 Woodway Dr. near Interstate 610, with the intent to destroy vegetation. He is also accused of using a hand-held lighter to burn vegetation in front of a building on Knox Street,
