“Tango 82 aviation crews located Zebra Ed and returned him to his owner,” the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media. The zebra, named Ed, was safely recaptured in a pasture in Rutherford County. He was airlifted in a net and flown by helicopter to a trailer so that he could be returned to his owner, AP reported.
The pet zebra, nicknamed “Ed,” was finally captured in a field in Christiana, Tennessee the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, which had been searching for the animal for nearly a week, said that it was found on Sunday and returned to its owner.

An escaped pet zebra that had been on the lam in Tennessee was captured Sunday after gamboling in the forest for more than a week.
“Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is happy to report Tango 82 aviation crews located Zebra Ed and returned him to his owner Sunday,” authorities said in a statement posted to Facebook Sunday. Accompanying the statement was a video of Ed spinning around as he was carried by helicopter to a waiting trainer.
