The Dallas Mavericks have been almost universally panned for deciding to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a future first-round pick. Even if some people could understand the thought of wanting to trade Doncic, very few people agreed that the package the Mavs got in return was anywhere near enough.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks are looking at staging a preseason game in Las Vegas, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Assuming they both played, this would pit the Lakers' Luka Dončić and Mavericks' Anthony Davis against their old teams.

Luka Doncic will reportedly go up against his former team again this October during the Lakers' 2025-26 preseason schedule.
