Cucumbers grown by Florida-based Bedner Growers have been recalled, triggering a series of further recalls from stores like Publix and Kroger.

A salmonella outbreak linked to cucumber items has reached 18 states, according to a Friday update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which identified the outbreak last week and said recalled cucumbers should no longer be on sale.
