Lady Gaga broke the record for highest-attended concert by a female artist on May 3, when she drew an estimated crowd of 2.5 million to her free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 14-time Grammy Award winner brought an estimated 2.5 million fans to Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach Saturday night.

In previous concert-centered terror plots, like when Taylor Swift was supposed to play Vienna in August 2024, the concert was canceled. A spokesperson for Lady Gaga said she and her team had no knowledge of the suspected bombing plot before or during the concert.
