Washington County officials issued a countywide burn ban on Monday due to heightened fire danger, including from dry and windy conditions. The burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning, according to a county news release. The ban includes, but is not limited to:

Travis County Judge Andy Brown and Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell signed orders declaring a local state of disaster for their respective counties which prohibited outdoor burning.

The Benton County Fire Marshal Lonnie Harrell issued a 24-hour countywide burn ban on Monday, prohibiting all outdoor, open burning for the duration of the ban. Harrell said he issued the ban because of the weather conditions over the past few days.
