Bryce Harper seemingly avoided a major injury scare last week when he missed only five games after being struck on the right elbow by a 95 mph fastball from Spencer Strider. But now, there is concern over Harper's right wrist.

Harper is playing through soreness in his right wrist, an issue that has lingered “for a while,” manager Rob Thomson revealed Friday.

He is hitting .258/.368/.446 with nine home runs and 34 RBIs in 57 games for the Phillies. While losing his bat creates a hole in the middle of Philadelphia's lineup, ensuring Harper's health in the long run is surely more important for a team in contention.
