For more than four centuries, the body of water stretching from Florida through Texas and into Mexico has been known as the Gulf of Mexico.

After announcing it would be renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, Google has officially changed on its Maps application.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt declared that it's no longer the Gulf of Mexico, now it's the Gulf of America.
