NFL draft purge hit the New England Patriots on Monday with the team releasing six players to make space for the many newcomers on the roster. One of the names on the cut list was 2023 fourth-round draft pick Jake Andrews.

It is not even 48 hours since the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, and the New England Patriots have to make some changes. The Patriots are over the 90-man roster limit following the draft, which results in some players being released.

Finding players with impressive athleticism, learning how to productively disagree, and providing quarterback Drake Maye with help were all on the agenda.
