MONACO — Lando Norris has his first Formula 1 pole position in more than two months at the Monaco Grand Prix. Now he needs his first win since then to boost his title chances. There usually is no better place to be on pole position than Monaco, where overtaking is near-impossible, but a new rule change could shake up everything.

Lando Norris won his second Formula One race of the season on Sunday, riding his pole position at the Monaco Grand Prix to victory. Norris took over the lead on the second-to-last lap after race leader and defending circuit champion Max Verstappen of the Netherlands was forced to take his second required pit stop on the penultimate lap.

Norris took pole position from Ferrari’s home favorite Charles Leclerc, with Sunday’s iconic grand prix next up in Monte Carlo
