Civil litigation by families of the victims of the Oxford High School shooting has ended, per the Michigan Supreme Court.

The Michigan Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal in a civil suit brought by Oxford families against the Oxford Community School District and school officials, accused of failing to prevent the November 2021 Oxford High School tragedy.

At issue was whether Oxford schools and its employees have governmental immunity protecting their actions before the shooting at Oxford High School.
