California gas prices declined from last week: See how much hereThe average fuel price in state declined about 17 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $4.09 on Dec. 23, 2024, and as high as $4.73 on April 7, 2025.
California drivers are bracing for a double-whammy at the pumps as stricter clean air regulations and an increase in the state’s gas excise tax are set to take effect on July 1, which could send fuel prices soaring.
Costco is set to open a new standalone gas station by spring. The city of Mission Viejo, Calif. has approved plans to tear down a former Bed, Bath and Beyond store to make room for the fuel pumps that will only be available to Costco members.
TEXAS (KAUZ) - According to AAA Texas, the statewide gas price average in Texas is $2.75 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel. AAA Texas said that the price is one cent less when compared to this day last week and is 27 cents less per gallon compared to this day last year.
"Michigan drivers are seeing lower prices at the pump, with some metro areas seeing averages below $3 a gallon," Adrienne Woodland, a AAA auto club spokeswoman, said. "If demand drops, alongside low crude oil prices, pump prices may continue to fall."
The average fuel price in state rose about 8 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $3.75 on Dec. 30, 2024, and as high as $4.29 on June 10, 2024. A year ago, the average gas price in Washington was 2% lower at $4.11 per gallon.
The open road is a preferable getaway this summer for Americans who discovered a love for road trips during the pandemic, are feeling economic uncertainty, or want to take advantage of tumbling gas prices.
