Today, Governor Ron DeSantis made his recommendation for the next VISIT Florida President and CEO to be Bryan Griffin.
Florida picked up an extra seat in the last round of reapportionment and produced maps that triggered a lengthy legal battle only resolved this month by the state Supreme Court. The map pushed by the governor ultimately resulted in Republicans gaining four seats across the state, helping the GOP narrowly win the House back in 2022.
Gov. Ron DeSantis is targeting cities and counties with audits but makes no mention of millions he's spent through no bid-contracts.
In a July 11 letter directed to "County and Town Managers," Florida DOGE asked for an " enormous data set" for four years from 2021 to 2024.
