Indian investigators have confirmed that the black boxes from last month’s deadly Air India crash, which killed 260 people, were not damaged and have yielded “good data,” countering earlier media reports.
New Delhi: A fake message claiming to be a preliminary investigation report into an alleged crash of Air India Flight AI-171 is circulating widely on WhatsApp. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) took to social media to issue a fact-check.
The crash, which occurred moments after take-off from Ahmedabad, killed 241 of the 242 people on board and another 19 on the ground.
