The defending Calder Cup champion Abbotsford Canucks have signed goaltender Jonathan Lemieux and forwards Ben Berard and Zachary Okabe to AHL contract extensions for the 2025-26 season.

The club had the chance to win the AHL championship in front of a sold-out home crowd on Saturday night in Abbotsford, but fell to 4-3 to the Charlotte Checkers in overtime.

This season, the Canucks defeated the Tucson Roadrunners, two-time defending Western Conference champion Coachella Valley Firebirds, the Colorado Eagles, and the Texas Stars to reach the final series.
