A Fullerton family filed a lawsuit against Union Pacific, alleging an abandoned rail line has caused fires and home burglaries over a six-year period.

A Union Pacific train derailed in Weatherford, releasing plastic pellets Thursday afternoon. The cause is under investigation.

Without security or fencing, an Orange County man said the abandoned train tracks in his neighborhood have turned into a camping site for trespassers and criminals.
