Mayor Zohran Mamdani selected Erin Dalton, a public official in the Pittsburgh area, to head New York City’s Department of Social Services.
Dalton, who previously led the Allegheny County Department of Human Services in Pittsburgh, will start in her role as commissioner on Monday.
