The National Weather Service issued red flag warnings on Feb. 28 for Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Graham, Greenlee, Santa Cruz and Cochise counties.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) —A Red Flag Warning is in effect today (starting at 11 a.m.) for southern Arizona, including the Phoenix metro area. Gusts of 30-45 mph are possible, along with very low humidity.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management is asking everyone to do their part to prevent wildfires from occurring.

A red flag warning is in effect from 11 am to 7 pm for parts of Graham, Greenlee and Cochise counties. A blowing dust advisory is also in effect from 11 am to 7 pm is those same areas. Sierra Vista will see a high of 56 degrees.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for southeast Arizona, including areas like Safford. Very dry conditions and gusts up to 45 mph will create a very high fire danger.
