One man, aged 70, died and four others have been sent for medical treatment at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service said on Monday. Israel's police said it was on the scene of a "stabbing attack" at Hamifratz Central Station in Haifa.

A man has been killed and four others wounded in a stabbing attack in the northern Israeli city of Haifa, officials said. Israeli police said the attack took place at a bus and train station on Monday and that “a security guard and a civilian at the scene” had “neutralised” the suspected assailant.
