Canadian fentanyl czar Kevin Brosseau says American officials are showing their approval for his new role as he and several other top officials are in Washington to show Canada's successes at stopping the flow of drugs and migrants.

Data indicates a 30% drop in cross-border traffic between Washington and British Columbia from mid-January to early February.

The National Post called the move a “quiet rebellion” against the 25% import tariffs that are set to go into effect next week, as well as President Donald Trump’s comments about making Canada the 51st state of the United States.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum says she hopes to speak with U.S. President Donald Trump now that he has announced plans to impose tariffs on Mexico and Canada starting Tuesday.

The president says the plan is to impose 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico starting on March 4 and to double the 10% tariffs on imports from China.
