Officials say six people were confirmed dead and two others were missing after a boat capsized on Lake Tahoe in California

Six people have died and two people are still missing after a boat capsized in Lake Tahoe after being hit by a large swell on June 21. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office told the press that two people survived. They were rescued from the water and taken to hospital to be treated for hypothermia and injuries.

The U.S. Coast Guard has called off the search for two people missing following the capsizing of a boat in California's Lake Tahoe that killed six people.
