It's been four years since a hard rock band topped the Billboard 200 albums chart - and far longer since such a band did so without having decades of hits already to its name. But this week, Ghost puts an end to both of those droughts.

Ghost have become the first hard rock band to top the US album chart since AC/DC 's Power Up in 2020. New album Skeletá sold 86,000 equivalent album units (a total that includes physical sales, downloads and streams) during its first week of release.

Ghost grabs the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the first time, as the Swedish hard rock band’s new studio effort Skeletá debuts atop the tally (dated May 10) with 86,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending May 1,
