Alabama urged the Supreme Court on Friday for an emergency order clearing the way for its redrawn congressional map that could boost Republicans’ chances of holding on to the House in November.

Gov. Lee and lawmakers “were pressured by President Donald Trump to draw a new map as the president faces the prospect of an unfavorable 2026 midterm election result,” reported The Tennessee Lookout.
