While baseball teams work on assembling rosters for next year, Major League Baseball itself made some hot stove news Wednesday. The league announced new television and streaming deals with three major players that will reshape how fans watch games in 2026 and beyond.

Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that this year's Field of Dreams game in Dyersville, Iowa will be played between the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins on Aug. 13, 2026.

ESPN's press release says it has become the rights holder for MLB.TV, meaning thousands of games will now be available on the ESPN app in addition to MLB platforms for the 2026 season.

MLB has a new media rights deal, and with the announcement came the reveal of a new way to watch Seattle Mariners TV broadcasts.

The MLB's reworked deal with ESPN only includes out-of-market streaming rights, so Twins.TV will remain the primary source for Twins games.
