The Missouri National Guard has activated about 180 members in response to an impactful winter weather system moving into Missouri this weekend.

Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) stated they rescued 18 dogs and puppies in southeast Missouri due to cold weather conditions on Friday.
Governor Mike Kehoe has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the upcoming winter weather. According to a press release from Kehoe’s office, he signed Executive Order 26-05, which will activate the Missouri National Guard for state and local response if needed for the weather this weekend.
