The United Kingdom’s mobile browser market is “not working well for consumers and businesses” according to a final report from Britain’s competition watchdog, which says that Apple and Google are largely to blame.

Britain's antitrust regulator said its inquiry group had found the mobile browser market, dominated by Apple and Google, was not working well for consumers and businesses, supporting its decision to launch an investigation into the sector in January.

The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority said its independent inquiry group found that mobile browser markets are not working well for U.K. businesses and mobile device users which is holding back innovation in the country.
