Manhunt underway after Carroll County deputy fatally shot during welfare check
A man is at large after a deputy was fatally shot during a welfare check in Carroll County, according to law enforcement. At 9:26 p.m. on Friday, May 29, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office got a request to conduct a welfare check at 13658 Fancy Gap Highway.
