Vance Luther Boelter, 57, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing a Minnesota Democratic state lawmaker and her husband while posing as a police officer, Governor Tim Walz said.
Authorities are investigating reports of "targeted shootings" in suburban Minneapolis in what Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said was an "ongoing situation." The shootings were in Champlin and Brooklyn Park, two neighboring cities about 10 miles from downtown Minneapolis, Walz said Saturday morning.
Boelter had also been a member of the Governor's Workforce Development Council in 2016 during the administration of then-Governor Mark Dayton.
