The Seattle Storm have acquired guard Lexie Brown and a 2025 third-round pick from the Los Angeles Sparks in exchange for a pair of draft choices in a trade announced on Friday afternoon.

Three days ago, the Storm were short on guards. Now, they have three after trading draft picks to the Sparks for Lexie Brown.

Los Angeles Sparks guard Lexie Brown has been traded to the Seattle Storm, both teams announced on Friday. The Storm acquired Brown and the Sparks’ 2025 third-round draft pick in exchange for the Storm’s 2025 and 2027 second-round picks — a move that will benefit them in the short term and seemingly reflects Los Angeles’s desire to move forward with other guards on the roster.

Brown, who has played seven seasons in the league with the Connecticut Sun, Minnesota Lynx, Chicago Sky and Sparks, posted 8.1 points, 3.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game in 2024. Unfortunately, these numbers were overshadowed by what was a ghastly 32.1 field goal percentage.

The Los Angeles Sparks received two second-round draft picks from the Seattle Storm in exchange for guard Lexie Brown and a third-round pick.
