Reds ace Hunter Greene was placed on the 15-day injured list with a groin strain, one of six roster moves by Cincinnati ahead of Friday night's game at Houston. Greene struck out six in three scoreless innings at Atlanta on Wednesday before summoning a trainer while warming up for the fourth.

The Cincinnati Reds will place right-hander Hunter Greene on the injured list after he departed his start on Wednesday night with what the team has since diagnosed as a grade 1 right groin strain, according to MLB.

Just like that on Wednesday night, Hunter Greene's smooth start vs. the Braves came to a grinding halt because of an injury. Now the Reds will be crossing their fingers, hoping their rotation ace won't miss significant time.
