Catcher Dalton Rushing, the No. 1 prospect in the Los Angeles Dodgers' farm system, scored three runs and broke a Statcast Era record against the Athletics on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have called up catcher prospect Dalton Rushing, the team announced Wednesday. The Dodgers will open up an active roster spot for Rushing by designating backup catcher Austin Barnes for assignment.

Rushing, a 2022 second-round pick who is ranked No. 15 among all MLB prospects by MLB Pipeline, has yet to appear in MLB action. He is slashing .308/.424/.938 in 31 Triple-A games this season. The Dodgers will designate Austin Barnes for assignment in a corresponding move.
