Kiss have reacted to US President Trump's announcement that they're to be recipients of this year's Kennedy Center Honors, alongside soul diva Gloria Gaynor, country star George Strait, and actors Sylvester Stallone and Michael Crawford.

President Trump announced on Wednesday the Kennedy Center honorees: George Strait, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor and the rock band KISS. The awards ceremony will be held in December.

The president said he "turned down plenty" of nominees, saying those individuals were "too woke" or too liberal.
