In Ocean County, the Jones Road Wildfire continues burning into its sixth day. Roads are now back open including Wells Mills Road. The command post sits at Wells Mills County Park. As of Sunday, over 15,000 acres have burned, and it is now 65% contained.

Some progress is being made as crews continue to battle the Jones Road wildfire that has been burning in Ocean County since Tuesday, April 22.

The fire has burned through nearly 24 square miles (15,250 acres) and is 50% contained as of Thursday evening, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
