How Mets pitcher Jonathan Pintaro reached majors all the way from Rome's Shorter University
Pintaro was born in Pelham, Alabama, and pitched from 2019-2023 at Shorter University, the small, private Baptist school in Rome. At Shorter, he had a 27-12 record with a 3.44 ERA and 377 strikeouts in his career. He set the school record for strikeouts in a season, with 150, his junior year.
