The Brady Street Business Improvement District organized a candlelight memorial walk in honor of the late Milwaukee Ald. Jonathan Brostoff on Monday, Nov. 11. The late alderman served District 3, which includes Brady Street. Brostoff died by suicide on Monday, Nov. 4 and for many, it was a wake-up call that words do matter.

FOX6 News learned on Monday, Nov. 4 that Milwaukee Alderman Jonathan Brostoff has died. Brostoff represented Aldermanic District 3 in Milwaukee – primarily on the city's east side.The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office indicated in a news release they are conducting a death investigation at Greenfield Park.

Milwaukee Alderman Jonathan Brostoff and former Alderman Terry Witkowski have died, according to a press release from Mayor Cavalier Johnson’s office.

The 41-year-old was a husband and a father to four children. He represented Milwaukee's east side on the Common Council and previously served in the Wisconsin Assembly.

A funeral for Jonathan Brostoff, a former state legislator and Milwaukee alderman, is set for Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
