Hulk Hogan called the Netflix biopic's script "powerful," even hoping Chris Hemsworth would receive Oscar attention for his role

Shane McMahon has paid tribute to Hulk Hogan. McMahon on Friday quote tweeted his father Vince McMahon’s statement on X and responded with a message of his own, thanking Hogan for everything he did not only for WWE, but also for the McMahon family.

Chris Hemsworth was bulking up to play Hulk Hogan in his official biopic, set to be directed by Todd Phillips. However, the film was scrapped in 2024.
