Mayor Paul Coogan said the owner of the facility is no longer picking up the phone.

"In all my years of being a Fire Chaplain, tonight was the worst night of experiencing such loss of life, multiple fatalities in Fall River," said Fall River Fire Chaplain Rev. Michael Racine.

After arriving at the home, officers secured the scene and evacuated the home’s other residents, as well as those living in the other side of the duplex, police said.

Gabriel House, an assisted living residence in Fall River, Massachusetts, experienced a deadly fire on July 13.
