Russian drone and missile attacks in Ukraine overnight killed at least three people and wounded several others, regional officials said today.

Slovakia's oil pipeline system operator Transpetrol was informed by Ukraine that a resumption of oil deliveries via the Druzhba pipeline has been moved to February 25, the country's economy ministry said on Monday,

The termination of oil supplies from Russia via the Druzhba pipeline was the result of deliberate collusion between the Ukrainian authorities and the leadership of the European Union (EU). This was announced on February 23 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

The European Union is not putting pressure on Ukraine to repair the damaged Druzhba oil pipeline and resume the transit of Russian oil.

EU officials had aimed to finalize the sanctions package ahead of Tuesday, marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Orbán backed the loan in December on the basis that EU leaders exempted Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia from paying down the EU debt. That changed on Friday after Budapest and Bratislava accused Kyiv of slow walking repairs to the damaged 4,000-kilometer Druzhba pipeline, which carries Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia.

BUDAPEST, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Hungary will block the European Union's next package of sanctions against Russia, the foreign minister said on Sunday, the latest step aimed at pushing Ukraine to resume the flow of Russian oil through a pipeline supplying Hungarian refineries.

Slovakia has stopped emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine. PM Robert Fico demands the restoration of Russian oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline, which Ukraine halted after an attack. Fico warns of further steps if the issue isn't resolved.
