The Chicago Cubs got their top prospect into the lineup for the first time on Sunday as he starts to make his case a starter at third base.

The Chicago Cubs have continued trimming down their spring training roster this week, sending pitcher Caleb Kilian back to the minors.

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Carson Spiers pitched three good innings, and Jake Fraley and Blake Dunn hit back-to-back homers against the Cubs Sunday.

In the opener, the Cubs put up 12 runs against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They followed that with seven runs in their second game against Los Angeles. Chicago then scored seven runs against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday and six runs versus the Texas Rangers on Sunday. In total, the Cubs have scored 32 runs in their four games played.

Speedy Pete Crow-Armstrong generated a run in the sixth inning by creating chaos on the basepaths. He stole second, and the throw bounced into center field. He checked behind him as he ran to third and then took off for home, sliding headfirst across the plate. He also made an impressive sliding catch on a short fly ball in the second.
