A comedy movie inspired by (and developed with) Green Day is being produced by Live Nation Productions. Titled “New Years Rev,” the film is a coming-of-age story of three friends — played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman and Ryan Foust — who journey to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing that their band is opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.

Green Day will produce a comedy film called 'New Years Rev' that is inspired by the band's early days touring in a van.

Inspired by the punk band's early days, director Lee Kirk's feature 'New Years Rev' is currently in production.
