Rodeo Fire initially started today at 12:06 p.m. in Contra Costa County, California. After being active for eight hours, it has burned 65 acres. By Monday evening, the fire crew managed to contain 70% of the fire. The cause of it remains under investigation.

A brush fire burned in Rodeo Monday afternoon near a residential subdivision and close to state Highway 4. The fire was reported shortly after noon and burned grassland on the eastern edge of Rodeo, just north of Highway 4 and east of Stirling Drive.
