Air India AI171 used full 11,499-ft Runway 23 at Ahmedabad before takeoff, confirms FlightRadar24; cause of crash under probe, one survivor reported.

Air India has confirmed 241 of the 242 people aboard flight AI171 died in this morning's Ahmedabad crash, with British passenger Vishwash Kumar Ramesh the sole survivor. The news comes as three UK nationals who were among the victims of the plane crash were named.

There was a loud noise just 30 seconds after takeoff and then the plane crashed, said Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the only survivor of the Air India flight AI171 that crashed in Ahmedabad today.
